Retro Chroma was born from two design‑obsessed friends who spent their weekends
wandering flea markets, design fairs, and factory showrooms from Copenhagen to Kyoto. We shared the same frustration: stunning lighting pieces were either prohibitively
expensive or disappointingly ordinary. So we launched Retro Chroma—an independent online studio dedicated to rediscovering mid‑century modern (MCM) brilliance and making it attainable for everyday homes.
What We Do
- Curate & Connect. We scout the globe for emerging studios, master craftspeople, and heritage factories that share our obsession with quality. From a glass‑blowing workshop on Murano to a metal‑spinning atelier in Guadalajara, we build long‑term partnerships that honor craft while meeting modern standards of efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate & Elevate. Many of our collections are co‑created. We sit at the same table as designers—sketching, prototyping, and refining until a piece captures that perfect balance of form, function, and feeling. This collaborative approach means every lamp carries multiple signatures: the artisan’s hand, the designer’s vision, and our promise of integrity.

This ensures that the 'middlemen' markups are removed, but the quality is strictly guaranteed by us.
